The Mexican states of Baja California (northern) and Baja California Sur (southern) are great places to explore on a road trip or during a resort stay. Home to Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Ensenada and more, the Baja Peninsula is the Pacific side of Mexico. Beaches and deserts paired with mountain ranges make this unique region a very different experience than traveling in mainland Mexico.
Baja California Sur (BCS) and Cabo San Lucas, specifically, have been a favorite vacation destination for our family for a very long time. We’ve also done many road trips in both BCS and Baja Norte. Being much less developed than the main tourist corridors, exploring the Baja via road trips is a great way to see more of the country.
